Boldt, Carlisle & Smith, LLC is a full-service firm of Certified Public Accountants with locations in Salem, Stayton, and Albany, Oregon.  We have partnered with our clients to provide assurance and innovation in accounting and finance in the mid-Willamette Valley since 1968. • Many of our clients are privately held, family-owned small to medium businesses which allows staff to participate on a variety of engagements throughout the year. In these engagements, our staff is often dealing directly with the owner or decision-maker.
• Staff are generally not required to specialize in tax or audit services. They receive training and experience in all areas of the firm’s practice.
• The firm provides CPE through local, state, and national CPA organizations, third-party vendors, and internal training programs.
• Because our firm is not rigidly structured, our staff can often assume more responsibility and advance more quickly than in larger firms.
• Our firm has a good balance of experienced and new staff to encourage a very positive mentoring program.  Consequently, new staff have a great opportunity to learn from some of the best in the accounting field.
• The firm’s three locations offer unique opportunities only available in multi-office environments.
• As you can see below, our audit services to a substantial number of local governments, employee benefit plans and nonprofit organizations provide for a more constant workload throughout the year than can be found at most local firms.
• We strive to stay current with technology advances.  For example, we are on a three-year replacement cycle for PCs, we are replacing desktop PCs with notebooks for our audit staff, and many of our audit staff are using data-mining software to assist with data analysis. In addition, we have a full-time Information Technology Manager to keep our systems running smoothly.
• Since our audit clients are located in 11 western Oregon Counties, out-of-town travel is minimal allowing you to maintain a good balance between career and family.
• All offices are located in pleasant settings with plenty of parking provided.  In addition, the communities are family friendly with easy access to a wide variety of recreational activities.
