We are pleased to announce that Boldt Carlisle + Smith (BC+S), with offices in Salem, Stayton, and Albany, Oregon has merged with Johnson McGowan & Associates, LLP (JMA), based in Albany, Oregon. The merged firm will continue operating as Boldt Carlisle + Smith.

From our inception, we have served many clients in the Albany/Lebanon/Corvallis area from our Salem and Stayton offices. In October of 2004 we added an Albany office with the acquisition of the Winston Spivey, CPA firm. In the fall of 2012 we began looking for additional opportunities to be more active in the Albany community and better serve our clients. We decided to seek an affiliation with JMA because we share common values of building strong relationships with clients and the desire to provide services that exceed client expectations. Finding and retaining excellent people is a constant challenge in our industry. A larger organization will allow our associates the benefit of expanded career and service opportunities.

There are several things we want to point out that will not change:

• All current staff at both BC+S and JMA are being retained. You will continue the same trusted relationships you have developed with our staff.
• We remain committed to providing you the same high quality services.
• Our commitment to helping you find the right answers for your business and individual challenges will continue.

Around the first of January 2014, we will be relocating only the BC+S Albany staff from our current office at 321 1st Avenue to join the JMA staff at 200 Calapooia St. SW. All phone and fax numbers and email addresses for both offices will continue to work. Staff working in Salem and Stayton will continue in the same office locations.

As we continue to develop a plan of combining our firms we will make announcements here and in other public written announcements. If you have any questions about this exciting news and what it will mean for you, please contact any of us at any time. We look forward to introducing you to our new partners and associates.

We are grateful to you, not only for giving us the opportunity to provide you with accounting services, but for your loyalty and friendship which has enriched our relationship. We are confident that our new affiliation will serve us all well.
