Other Financial Statement Engagements
While lesser in scope than an Audit, a Review is helpful to a private company. It provides limited assurance that material changes to the financial statements are not necessary, based on analysis of financial statement trends and ratios coupled with inquiries of management regarding accounting procedures and policies used to prepare the financial statements.
Compilation services are useful to small privately held companies that need help in preparing their financial statements. They do not provide any assurance on financial statements and are limited to presenting information in the form of financial statements.
